EZ Orange Cranberry Cookies

17 oz. pkg. refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1/3 c. cranberry orange sauce
Preheat oven 350 degrees. Slice dough into 1/4 inch thick slices (makes 36 slices). Place 18 slices 2 inches apart on well greased cookie sheets.
For filling, spoon 1 teaspoon cranberry orange sauce on each of the 18 slices. Cut crosses in each of the remaining dough slices and place on top. Allow cookie dough to warm at room temperature for 10 minutes, then finger-crimp edges together. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove to wire rack.
