Butter Toffee

1 cup real butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup crushed pecans or almonds
1/2 large Hershey Bar or 1/2 small bag of milk choc chips

1. Warm cookie sheet in oven (keep warm while making candy, approx 200degrees)

2. Use heavy pan, and add butter and sugar.

3. Cook on high heat, stirring constantly with wooden spoon until it reaches
soft crack stage (285 degrees)

4. Reduce temperature to medium heat and continue stirring and cooking until mixture reaches hard crack stage (300 degrees)

5. Pour hot mixture on hot cookie sheet. Spread thin with spatula. Mixture will NOT fill pan.

6. Put chocolate on top of hot candy and let sit 5 mins to melt. Spread over, covering all.

7. Top with finely chopped or crushed nuts.

Cool

Break into pieces and store airtight in a tin.

Pecans taste like Heath Bar, almonds like Almond Roca.

YUMMY STUFF!
